SSC is a fake darood propaganda it has nothing to do with uniting Somalia and Somaliland. Technically the entire north is a disputed region Somaliland claiming soverinity over it while Somalia also claiming soverinity over it.
The clans that claim SSC are a minority in sanaag. There is a large isaaq minority in sool and there is no such thing as cayn there is degmada buuhoodle of togdheer which is shared with HJ. The idea of a federal state based on dhulos and warsangeli land is also ridiculous as it is against the constitution and they have no right. Every federal state will be carved up on a tribal basis. Further more it will be a federal state with a population of 300k people which is completely ridiculous it has no means to pay its soldiers wages nor is it on any significant trade route no port no air port not that it would matter as it would only serve 300k people and not be economically viable. Thirdly ceerigabo the capital of sanaag is an isaaq deegan and has no chance of ever being part of this. Laas canood has 11 guto of isaaq troops in and around it so a federal state with the land occupied by another administration is ridiculous which is why even though Farmajo would love to do it he can’t.
SSC Federal State of SomalilandAll districts in Sool and Sanaag are occupied lands that were inhabited by Somalidiids after the internal Dhulbahante fighting during the dervish war. The isaaq territory started from west Burco only and then extended further west to sheekh and so on. Also, somalidiid-land mainly wants the aid money, even though they probably would try to exploit the natural resources which would result in destruction of homes and likely backlash from the communities who live near exploited sites. Currently tho, the only option to form a state would be to incorporate everyone living in SSC, maybe expand it to all North-east, make ceerigaabo the capital as it is shared by various tribes, built a port, and try cure the somalidiids amongst our reer abtis to drop the tribal institution and live peacefully amongst one another.
