We need to ban Qabyaalad and anything doing with it, if we want to progress

Qabiil is our only and greatest weakness. We must address and eliminate this weakness completely if we want our next generation and country to survive.
As individuals who have either experienced the Somali Civil War first hand or whose families were affected, we understand the devastation that qabiilism and other forms of sectarianism can cause.
The enemies during colonial times and even today are using our weakness, Qabiil to divide
ourselves, and profiting the enemy. We had every reason to succeed: an advantageous geographical situation, oil, ores and only one religion and one language for the whole territory; a rare phenomenon in Africa. We could have been a great power in the region. But the reality is completely different, and all this can be traced back to our qabiil ideology.

how do i use this
It's sad, really. Ghanaians are building satellites and sending it to space to minitor their marintime and we are fighting over tribes in 2017. Huge L for our superiority complex. :kodaksmiley:

We are the lowest of low.
Somalia is slowly but surely getting out of this mess we're in, our biggest obstacle is Al shabaab, they're on there final legs now, our military is getting built, currency reformed, and soon our we're gonna start exploiting our natural resources, you won't see all this happen overnight but it's happening, and u have to remember Ghana has had peace for over 60yrs and they don't have some hating ass hostile neighboring countries, I'd say in about 25 yrs Somalia will overtake the horn in GDP and development wise.

If Somalia can get it's act together then I believe we will surpass all the African countries very quickly. However the main obstacle is not Al Shabaab, the main obstacle is the very nature of Somalis. We are a stubborn xasid people, who love qabyalaad, don't listen to authority and are very superstitious.

Our country might be rich in natural resources, however it's lacking the biggest one; that is human resource.

Everyone in Somalia needs to be socialised properly

I hear u, the older generation didn't realize the wealth they were sitting on and they were mostly ignorant, they felt hopeless which made them extremely stubborn, but I believe with difficulty comes ease, our generation sees the potential in our country and with technology connecting every corner of the world we're gonna take advantage of it, as u can see we've lost tens of billions in fishery alone to theives and thats just 1 sector.

Btw the qabiil bashing on the internet is just banters, dont take them serious

You are correct, in that the older generation did not understand the resources Somalis had. In the circumstances, I think they did the best thing, keep it all in the ground and don't let foreigners exploit it. Now, the younger generation who understand how the world works can maybe use our resources to better our country. The biggest asset of Somalia I think is the diaspora. However most of the diaspora are reluctant or too busy to go back home and do their part; I include myself in this.

The qabil bashing online is disheartening, I don't see it in real life, thankfully. I just wish the Somalis on this website would stop with the qabyalaad. Some might think it's harmless fun, but it might turn a person who didn't know much about qabil into a qabilist.

The diasporas who miss out on the current opportunities in Somalia now will be crying in the future reminiscing the oppertunity that passed them.

Qabyaalad is here to stay as all tribes have their own enclaves and interests that differ from other tribes.

Unless you gradually force them all to live in a single region they'll always see each other as different people.

You'll need a dictator with a lot more power than Siad Barre to accomplish that.

I say this all the time. If Somalia continues to improve, our generation can be the baby boomers. We can reap the rewards of an untapped Somalia. There are businesses opportunities in every sector: construction, housing, tourism, food, medicine . Literally everything, the people who don't take advantage of it now, will be crying into their cereal bowl in the next 10, 20 and 30 years.

Lol this is so funny, what are you trying to ban? qabiil or qabyaalad? kkkkkk

You can never ban qabiil, it is like race, qabyaalad will always be attached so you can never get rid of it. Although you can reduce it.

The first is education: Many people, and i'm afraid to say that it's usually Darood seeing as the former dictator and current one are Darood. They tend to ignore all the negatives, which are a lot with afweyne and focus on the slight positives.

I once made a thread asking should qabiil be ethnicites? Well in light of that i've realised that they should. It is not only disgraceful, but absolutely preposterous to call ourselves all Somalis and a Somali nation when just 30 years ago one clan massacred another. And even today how minority clans are discriminated against, and look at the Somalia gov! 4.5 my ass.

To young minds like those here on sspot, it is a very attractive thing, but when your country is based on qabiil, kkkkk i think we should just give up on it.

Somalinimo doesn't exist anymore, in fact i doubt it ever did. I think we should all be more open of our qabiil, and in turn that would lessen qabyaalad seeing as there is no need to make others feel inferior.

Only education can kill Qabil.

Until then focus on your gobols and share information and creativity with your neighboring provinces.

We will get out of this mess through education. The people have spoken and they want regional states, we
have to respect each other's wishes and build states that treat everyone equal.

Pour me a shaah when I visit your Gobol. :mybusiness:

Qabils are not ethnicities. My parents come from two different tribes, are you honesty suggesting I'm mixed raced? There is more that unites us than divides us. All qabils have people in them who have done harm to others. There are no victims in Somalia, except the madhibaan. Stop the hatred, let's come together. If you insist on dividing Somalia, the only thing you will accomplish is your qabil falling, and along side it, Somalia.

You just proved my point.

Please elaborate, because I'm honestly scratching my head on how the bolded proves your point.
You just said only the madhibaan are victims, which covers all other atrocities committed by other clans against other clans?
