Skin colour "preference" is self-hate disguised.

Huno you don't know somali people if you think his skin tone is the majority.

here is a random video that is more representative of Somali people. You'll notice that average people just about in Mogadishu are dark-skinned people. There is really a lot more videos you can look at for better perspective. I suggest you do that before making such a bold claim.

You don’t think it’s the sun? Most Somalis in the west look like that kid I posted, maybe it’s the better nutrition and cold climate, you are right tho Somalis back home are a lot darker even in my own family.

Alot of it is the sun. I get noticeably darker between the winter and summer personally. I can tell off photos lol

If you are maarriin or light skin you will tan, but those people are naturally more melanated. They're dhuxul, they won't tan.

In this video, the majority of people are dark skin but there are naturally maarrin people too, which should tell you its not the sun. I mean, we are native Africans, what made u think we would be majority light skin lmao :mjlol:

Waar forget about this skin talk, did Ahmed make it to Missouri?

I dont rate Xalimos but if i did skin color wouldnt matter, things like chest size and booty and face matter more than skin.

About self hate. Everyone is entitled to their preferences. You could easily say Ilhan Omar is full of self hate for marrying an cadaan but I wont say that.

Booty size, waists, hips, face and personality :yousmart:

Apparently everyone in this forum is lightskinned now
I look like this

Whenever I met a Somali guy who talks/praises my skin for being light, I would be disgusted and they would always be dark/maariin!

If I married a dark skinned/maariin man my daughter would probably resemble him so would I want her to have a colourist father? Nope.

Your dark skinned genes will carry on and most likely dominate your gene pool so unless you marry a White woman, your children will look like you.

That's also why I am disgusted by non-Somali African men who love Somali women, they clearly don't like their own phenotype but again, their children always resemble them and not the Somali mother!

Skin is beautiful in all shades but you know what's not attractive: Self-hate disguised as a "preference".

Who taught you to hate your own skin colour? Most likely your father/mother have the same skin colour as you so what's the issue?
I'm light-skinned myself so do I get a pass?

I personally don’t find dark skinned men attractive I like men who have same skin colour like me (Fitzpatrick skin type V) it’s just a preference I want my family to look all the same, mini me’s.

Jimmer, what is your skin colour?

What if I said that you are less desirable to light skinned women who are actually more naturally inclined to be with light skinned men?

Trust me, there are a lot of Somali girls out there who love light skinned men but they don't run around screaming about their "preference".
Damn I never knew that I always used to get clowned for being soft and I always hear dark skin is the epitome of manliness.

True majority of Somalis are dark but this forum so happens to be filled with light skins and mariins :pachah1:
I think it depends on perspective and honesty. I bet a lot of these people don't think their dark just because their black friends are darker and some are just lying to themselves cuz they can't bear the truth.
