Whenever I met a Somali guy who talks/praises my skin for being light, I would be disgusted and they would always be dark/maariin!

If I married a dark skinned/maariin man my daughter would probably resemble him so would I want her to have a colourist father? Nope.

Your dark skinned genes will carry on and most likely dominate your gene pool so unless you marry a White woman, your children will look like you.

That's also why I am disgusted by non-Somali African men who love Somali women, they clearly don't like their own phenotype but again, their children always resemble them and not the Somali mother!

Nope, men of all races prefer lighter skinned women- this isnt new to me. Im naturally inclined to chase Arab and White girls and steer clear from Somalian girls

Men are also naturally inclined to seek light skin females who are associated with youth and fertility, better chance of having healthy offsprings. In one study 47 of 51 cultures worldwide had clear preference for lighter skin. It is a natural biological disposition.

At the end of the day, skin tone and height are physical features. Why is it socially celebrated to have preference for taller guys while having preference for lighter girls is a tabo oftentimes dismissed as self hate?

In toxic Somali society Somali girls are on the receiving end of vile colourism. But why stop here. You ever see Somali guys complain of prevalent height discrimination or premature baldness. It also affects their self esteem and chances of successful courtship. Literally first to go insult thrown at any exchange along with dark skin. Would it be ethically sound to judge Somali girls of self hate for preferring guy with full hair while majority of Somali guys are bald?
