It stems from Economic situation, they feel that they pay for the whole country and are taxed high. It does not stem from tribal affiliation that Somalia faces. And the vast majority of Italians are patriots. As is the Germans. For f*ck sake both Countries won the World cup.

Another example is the Catalonia region of Spain who are actually different to Spain in language, culture, and genetically. if they held a referendum they could easily lose, which they did before. And they also won the World Cup being united
