Let me start off by saying I WOULD LOVE to see these somalis come with the same energy for the extreme racism found amongst somalis and elements of somali culture. They are quick to attack arabs for mistreating people of colour and calling them abeed, aswad, etc but what about somalis who call people of colour adon, sangururi, Madow, etc. Whats with the DOUBLE STANDARDS
We shouldn't generalize. The religion of Islam was sent down first in the language of the arabs which is why they will understand it best, and hence why some of the best people you will meet are arabs. However, at the sametime alot of the worst people you will meet are also arab. Just like how arabs are the descendants of Muhammad (SAW), Abu bakr, Khadeejah, Umar, Ayesha, Uthman, Ali etc. they are also the descendants of Abu Lahab and his wife, Abu Jahal, Ummayah bin khalaf, Abdullah ibn Ubayy, etc.
And as we inch closer to the day of judgement most people in general will be corrupt, particularly arabs since the messenger of Allah (SAW) said shirk would return to the arabian peninsula (which it already has started to).

Somali people are still suffering muslims, suffering humans. Giving sadaqah will benefit you in the grave. What makes you think you get no reward? You get just as much reward as helping palestinians.
You ask how it would benefit me? Religiously, as well as psychologically. Oh and I would be able to pray freely in Masjid Al-Aqsa.
