Farming is important to achieve food security as food is a critical human infrastructure. But I think it's only good income generation for OWNERS not so much labor, if all puntites became farmer labor, they would repeat what happened to SW eelay population due to the low pay, it won't allow 4 income generation, purchasing properties, and market spending but live in IDP camps only.

We must be selective about what type of investment and work and pay/condition structure is set up for ours workers and calculate the growth effect it will have in market spending to create constantly new investment spaces for investors to tap into or increase quantity/scale of their current industry which then allows the govt to collect more taxes thru new ilo dhaqaale and deliver or expand hard and social infrastructures.

Im not saying to not FARM but only up untill food security is 100% met locally and dds-south dependence eliminated ama isbaaro bay noo dhigi karan if political conflict was to arise effecting our markets, but once food security is achieved, govt must discourage any more farming focus.

Very small progress either due to SL eternal isolation becuz Somalia borders is recognized and has UN-AU member state rights with the world that their sovereignty and border must be respected or can lead to international court case raised. It's sad the masuliyad xumi and lack of intelligence of their locals dying for something that will never happen.

As 4 PL, more political conflict with the SFG which has stretched since 2009, slow progress. PL will argue no to centralization pointing to history of kacaan-civilian era experiment, out of line with clan reality/values of Somalia, economic isolation of regions, not addressing clan mistrust post 91 due to clan wars, then showing SFG their current centralized tasks delegated shows incompetence and power abuse solidifying why the center must be ceremonial, confederation or hybrid federation(PL distinct status) and a slow incremental and careful review intervals(25 years) over 100 year migration to federation discussed.

Even in the hybrid federal model once complete in 100 years it should state it can be extended for another 100 years, merge federation models(only if all milestones achieved), secession.

The lack of public confidence and international confidence also worries them as their not 'mature', which will be 'strong weighted milestones' reviewed on top of good governance, rule of law, institutions, security, socio-economic development if PL ever merges federation model from a hybrid model or confederation.

Every district should have this type of farming scale and specialize in products that Puntland needs. Our stomach infrastructure cannot be dependent on dds-beletwayn or god forbid dubai. This is very dangerous for our ppl existence liklihood becuz anytime those ppl want they can cut it out and your people will starve.

But So Far the speaker is making some valid points around the obstacles/challenges preventing Puntland to reach it's food security target.

Some of it is water problem, energy allocation, Lack of agricultural quality standard leading to ourppl to develop diseases. I will add govt not 'zoning' fertile or potentially farmable land, creating sub-divisions, installing drainage

Yes ppl forget this when the rains come it has to be redirected away from the farms or else it will flood it and destroy harvests. If this isn't there, it can sway investors that this is too risky to put money into. The other thing I will add, please let this not turn into another igu sawir or empty conference with no follow up or action plan.

For the idiots who don't understand PL goal is FOOD security only, we are not seeking to be 3rd world country with agriculture as it's primary industry, u cant become a wealthy country by making all ur ppl work in farming or an economic vision around bananas/mangos kkkkkk which is worth pennies, their populations labor/time would've been waste at a mass scale on a cheap final product becuz it's unskilled(cilmi ma aha its neolithic skill anyone can do) and hence why those countries r poor and will remain so till yowmul qiyaama.

We just want to ensure the contents of our locals belly is linked to PL not outside of PL(dangerous posture), at least their 'basics' in the event our enemies close off their 'farms' to us or do isbaaro.

Some of the speakers are preaching that this is some sort of money generating industry, which it isn't and never was, it's a neolithic(10,000 year old) skilled job which everyone knows how to do that's why it's not money maker, it's purely a food security industry is how u should convince locals to join it only not tell them bald face lies becuz it won't convince them.

U think their silly and don't know the 'value' of those products in 'suuqa' locally or globally? kkkkkkkkk they want to ensure their 'time' produces or service oo 'skilled ah oo qiimo keenayso'. But tell them lama gaari karo 'shaqo iyo wax soo saar qiimo' leh oo lacag fican keenayso locally hadi dadka calooshooda meel kale laga sameeyo oo isbaaro loo dhigan karo.
