Anyone that disrespects Abdullahi Yusuf AUN, should be arrested and trialed. He was not a warlord, he was a hero, the father of the nation of Puntland, a founding father.

May Allah swt take Abdullahi Yusuf to the highest jannah, may his legacy forever live on.

AUN.

Those curriculum cames from Xamar, PL goverment should act with FGS misleading Somalia history.
This book only copy was actually printed in Garowe by MoE that's why public outcry was huge.

MoE didn't expect such backlash from young puntites i dont think they'll try again any time soon.

@TekNiKo didn't you say this about president Abdullahi Yusuf once, what have changed that now you call him a warlord, you are bipolar, seek help please.

Greatest president Somalia had after Abdrishiud Ali Sharmarke can't not be labeled as a warlord, this book should be banned all over Puntland and Somalia as well.

You guys insult MSB day in and day out and call him a Christian gaal and expect me to not attack your heroes? AUN AY and MSB did you know AY said in his book if he knew what civil war would become and the mayham that he would have ensued he would have never rebelled against MSB

MSB whether he was a saint or not doesn't directly correspond with those individuals, he was and is seen as a national figure and a president.

Off course he does. He came to power through an illegal coup nothing presidential or national about him especially after he signed away Somalia's right at Ogaden & NFD.

After being overthrown he was reduced to a warlord statues with his SNF militia trying to unsuccessfully take back Mogadishu twice.

One could argue he was moving like a warlord since 1989 attacking both Darood & Hawiye civilians to turn it into clan wars. A lot of Darood complain about Hawiye's ethnic cleansing in 1991 but they forget to mention it was largely instigated by Siad Barre himself.

He did more evil than all somalis who ever lived combined he was the first warlord who introduced that culture he was seen as monster not national figure, all those individuals with their faults are still heroes for standing up against afweynes horror saving lifes. Blame the evil cult for what happened and their systematic sixir and mindfuck of 30 years and civil war barre initiatives after did that not those who destroyed that system!

Getting into power by a coup, committing evil acts, or even attempting to come back to power via rebel means (it was a militia vs militia conflict and no legitimate president at the time) doesn't take away the fact he was Somalia's 3rd president, he ruled from raascaseyr to raaskamboni for nearly 20 years. That's longer than any leader before or after.

Off course it does when it comes to judging on his character. If he moved like warlord, acted like a warlord and brought the country down with him than he is indeed closer to warlord warlord than an illegitimate president who come through a coup.

But at least you admitted he ended as one the moment he vacated Mogadishu, he was no different than Caydiid or Mahdi in 1991 - 1992.
