Somalis there actually think Ilhan is too liberal and only vote for her because she is their daughter.

If one is well educated and very articulate in their mother tongue or other languages, many of them will succeed in foreign languages, such people included Somalis sent to Russia and other Eastern European countries to pursue university education during Siad Barre’s regime.

What Ayan wrote about the hatred towards the Jews and in particular Israel by the majority of Somalis is factual. As a kid, I never knew what the word ‘Yahud’ mean’t even though I knew being called that word was the ultimate insult. When Ilhan expresses negative comments about Israel, she’s appealing to her Somali base. If all the Arab & Islamic countries establish a diplomatic relationship with Israel, Somalia will refrain from it.

No, but I haven't heard of fobs graduating from European universities in non-English programs. Very few of them go to university level education (rare to begin with) and when they do they usually study in English programs because they can't handle the programs in local languages.

Even most natives can't.

U dont have to sell it to me. I respect Ayaan in many fronts. I think she is delicious and highly interesting. I am interested in her life and progress. I always imagine what she and her delightful very interesting husband talk about. He is pompous, coxcomb, highly intelligent, conservative, not particularly sexy and attractive in the bedroom way, but certainly his big nose has character and potential. I am very curious when they sit for dinner, what do they talk about?? They are two phenomenon heavy weight intellectuals.

There is no question of her intelligence. But even smart people make bad choices. In search for allies she aligned herself with rightwing racist. Both are ignorant of Islam. And that is usually the case with all atheists who were born to Muslim parents. They are driven by lack of faith/iimaan and the need to justify their choices.

You are wrong about IQ being tied to beliefs or lack of them. Tradition and culture weigh more on the person than a thorough analysis on beliefs in many cases. Being materialistic is also a driving force on many. Case in point: Obama who is born to a Muslim father and who grew up experiencing some Islamic culture and exposure, but who in adulthood opted to practice Christianity. Obama is very smart yet opted into believing three Gods in One that no logical human being can explain satisfactorily to another human being . It comes down to Obama leaning on blind faith despite his IQ level.

The idea that there is connection between IQ and lack of faith is pure delusion. Feel good kinda story you tell yourself mate.
