so what?! He did all of that, doesn’t mean I have to do it or want to do it.

@HalimaJ i find it very weird that U use the prophet as your go to excuse to prove your points one day and the next u insult brothers for “being broke” coz they apparently don’t have anything to give their women, yet the Man U so much love to quote and bring up was dirt poor, sleeping on the floor. This shows you’re not sincere.

He was broke because he gave all of his money to charity.

I have no right to insult to a man that is working hard as rizq is calaaf.

Some Faraaxs are broke because they are too busy lacking ambition and sitting in their hooyos basement, yet they are still entitled.

As has been stated many a times before in this thread. I believe it is strictly done to feminism and coming from a conservative culture. They are many a people in our community who have traditionally inclinations and yet also have modernists beliefs aswell. With the women they want the man as an result of this, to be both traditional and modernist, as this benefits them greatly. Thus, the men within our community cling to a more traditional role as it benefits them more. We have what is now an internal conflict you see in which both sides fight over there own self interest.

These paradox in which you may see on the side of the women is driven purely by interest. It is not based on pure actual reason and is just there own self desire. So when people like @Knowles attack you, it is not because there point of view is better then yours or there logic behind their argument is better, but an inherent self interest making them think like that. Thus, this also explains your behaviour, in which you react in a negative as this is ultimately not in your interest aswell. You fervently deny it because it would ultimately make your live more inconvenient from your perspective.


I hate these arguments because they are purely bullshit and completely driven by gender bashing.

If you can't keep up your bargain then don't expect Somali men to be traditional because he will not give you meher. The wedding, honeymoon, house rent and bills will be split to 50/50. When you're on a date with him, you'll pay your half.

If you do in fact want a traditional husband that gives you your meher. You want him to pay for the entire wedding and honeymoon cost. You want him to pay the house rent, bills and etc. You want a real man to be the head of the house, provider and protector then fulfil your traditional gender roles like cooking, cleaning and satisfying his sexual needs. That's the only way to fulfil your requirements because that's the only way to make yourself useful, the only way to prove your love for him or else what are you doing at his house?

The purpose of marriage and relationships is about covering each other's needs and scratching each other's back. If one cannot fulfil their gender role. They are useless, selfish, unloving and they clearly have no purpose for a relationship so you should dismiss them.

If you prefer modern relationships where everything is split 50/50. Okay, great on you but don't expect a traditional spouse if you can't be traditional yourself.
