The more I listen to it, the more I understand. It takes a lot of effort though.

which somali clan speaks this dialect? i think the purest dialects are irir samaale and reer waqoyi clans.Pretty much every word used in Maay in used in Maxaa - the sentence structure is a little different and so is the pronunciation. It's definitely a Somali dialect and not a language of it own.
