I've never been so deep in to Somali culture since I started this forum a few days ago. s*** it's confusing.

No one noticed that this is Christian propaganda which says a lot.

Maay Maay is not usually this clumsy sounding though. Must be one of those people converted in Baydhabo church who speak Italian as a first language.

The more I listen to it, the more I understand. It takes a lot of effort though.

Pretty much every word used in Maay in used in Maxaa - the sentence structure is a little different and so is the pronunciation. It's definitely a Somali dialect and not a language of it own.

which somali clan speaks this dialect? i think the purest dialects are irir samaale and reer waqoyi clans.

There is no such thing as an Irir Samaale dialect and Waqooyi is no different to other maxaa besides the accent. Raxanweyn mainly.
