im thinking somewhere along the Mediterranean

Inshallah Turkey but I’m thinking of visiting the coastline of England too. Like Brighton/Worthing sort of area.

I never understand people who love to travel for pleasure. Are they running from their every day life.

why do u travel?
well, they always answer with I like to meet new people, try new food, get new experiences, but we find all these things in every day life.

I think these r just excuses to escape from every day life. Maybe because they hate their job etc.

or is it the feeling of missing out on life?

To me travelling is only cool for going to museums, archaeological sites , learning new language, spending time with local tribes, for business,for science research and for religion visiting holy sites.

I will one day travel to Antarctica, east african rift valley, to machu picchu, valley of the kings, great pyramid of guatemala and Mars

Visiting other lands is fun in and of itself. It seems like it's something one likes or doesn't.

It definitely helps with escaping reality for a short time but also everything else you mentioned. Me personally I wanna see what’s out there and go to as many new places as possible.

Is that not travelling for pleasure? Like is it not pleasurable to learn new things or to socialise with new people.

But yes, I agree with you in the idea that there is a degree of escapism when it comes to travelling.
