Minnesota is the best diaspora because it’s a good place to move up in the class system. You can easily get an education, become middle class, and buy your own house. That’s not as possible for other Somali diasporas. There are also Somalis everywhere, not just in Minneapolis but in the suburbs surrounding the Twin Cities too.

In short, it’s a lower cost of living compared to the UK, less population density, and extremely visible and vibrant Somali population.
