Yes you had a few Christian communities & a Jewish community,

But I’m sorry to burst your bubble but a majority were just pagan worshippers. They rejected the gospel and the Torah as a whole group beforehand
Somalis and cushites were not pagans..
Pagans worship many gods, waaq which was the religon of cushitic people was a monotheistic religion that had one god and many spirits.
Nomads would call on waaq and pray for rain and water back in the days.
waaq was symbolised in the form of a crow and it is theorised that the name waaq comes from the sounds crows used to make

Tbf, waaq was a monotheistic religion though and paganism refers to polytheistic religions.

Waaqism was a pagan religion, they didn’t exclusively believed in 1 diety, they prayed to multiple smallers ones too (including to those spirits).

the older Somali people had previous 2 chances to convert to actual respectable religions during the times off prophet Musa (pbuh) & Jesus (pbuh) but the majority off them rejected both off the holy books and instead went back worshipping to something that didn’t even exist.

Somalis didn’t have ANY influence on Islam, that’s the difference. Islam was brought over and

islam exists for 1444 years, Islam was born in the year of 610,

“The start of Islam is marked in the year 610, following the first revelation to the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) at the age of 40. Muhammad (pbuh) and his followers spread the teachings of Islam throughout the Arabian peninsula.”

Somalis didn’t convert in the 600’s, the earliest converts, converted to Islam between the 7th-9th century (Its still debated on when Somalis started to convert) and Somalia as a whole fully converted around the Middle Ages (10th century/12th century), so on average Somalia isn’t even affiliated with Islam for 1000 years.

unlike the Habesha’s who’ve had some influence on Christianity, Somalis had non. The Turks, Northern Africans & Persians had historical & cultural impacts on Islam but Somalia is far away from it. It’s similar to Indonesia, a major Islamic population with no direct influence on Islam, Islam influences Somalia, not the other way around.
How did somalis not convert during the 600s when there is literally one of the oldest mosques in zelia? did you even read what i said?
North africa was still majority Christian during the caliphate with egypt being the largest christian country in the world during the centuries following their conquest.

Obviously inland somalis may have taken time to fully convert but that doesnt mean somalia wasnt muslim until the middle ages because that discredits the early people who did.
Arabian peninsular wasn't fully islamised by the time my ancestors became muslim as my clan owns zelia which is one of the earliest islamic cities in the world.

You keep bringing up ethiopia's importance to Christianity to downplay somalia's connection to islam. Ethiopia's main thing was that they stayed isolated and had their own bible, so what? that's their history. My people built one of the earliest mosques in the world which is important to islam aswell.

Since when was waaq a pagan religion? all sources say it is monothestic.
The 1 million people who still worship waaq in oromia worship 1 god.

Ethno-religious isn’t a thing for Somalis since we didn’t invent Islam nor did we have a big influence on it like Turkey or Northern Africa. Most ethnicities on those lists created their own religions
Why is it whenever I see you post something, it's always trivializing the Somali experience. Even now you're literally fighting over semantics, even though the Ethno-religious term definitely fits us. Your argument of how much influence is arbitrary, because it's not significant on identifying what is and isn't an ethno-religion.

I could go on Wikipedia right now and change its history and add that Somalia has descendants of royal bloodline 🙄 you people use Wikipedia and your supposed upbringing as a source to proof your supposed “SoMaLiS aRe EtHnO-ReLiGiOuS” claims. Unless Somalis have had some influence on Islam and or shaped Islam into what it is today doesn’t make Somalia an ethnoreligious country just because Islam is the majority.

If we go by you idiots logic The Netherlands & its descendants would be Ethno-Religious since Christianity had a huge influence on Dutch culture, same goes for the Germans, Greeks & British. Which doesn’t make sense, South Korea for example wouldn’t also be ethnic-religious just because 1 religion is the majority of the country. Heck not even Indonesia isn’t out into that category while it holds the biggest Islamic population off the whole world

Please Waaqism is based off different dieties with the “Sky” & the “Death reaper” being the most 2 popular that were preyed upon. I’m sorry to disappoint you but waaqism is a pagan religion, it’s similar to what a small community in Ethiopia are preying upon but they worship different dieties then the older Somalis

But the greeks are considered ethno-religious..
How can you say Ethiopians are ethno religious and then say the orthodox greeks aren't .

And when did point to wikipedia? Walahi you are pulling from straws at this point. Why do you keep ignoring my posts and repeating the same bs 4 times in a row. Are you incapable of arguing

Are you okay in the head?
Waaqists are literally around today and they still worship one god and many spirits. ONE google search will tell you that waaq is monotheistic from MULTIPLE sources

Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) got the message in 610, the Hijjarah was in 615, the bypassed THE NORTH FOR GODS SAKE.

That doesn’t mean that the whole off Somalia was converted when just the northern part off Somalia was bypassed during the Hijjarah.

My clan this! My clan that! Stop fucking nagging about your clan I could care less about you or your clan since I am and I WAS talking about Somalis as a whole you idiot. If you could comprehend what I was saying you wouldn’t be nagging back and forth with me about your stupid clan since I wasn’t singling you idiots out for gods sake. Read better next time.

Turkey despite its shorter association with Islam than Somalia had a huge effect on it, Iran & Iraq inspired islam in terms of Astronomy, music & culture which the Northern Africans also did. Heck even India had an amazing golden age with the Mughal Empire! And these are all nations that converted after us and they achieved something that you me & all those stupid clans could dream off.

Waaqist as in the Waaqeffana in Ethiopia? Yes. Those in Somalia already died out. Waaqism known by Somalia is a dead religion. And those supposed google searches are from this site and Wikipedia.

Most likely, most psyops and social engineering campaigns are mostly online now.

Of course they are on this forum to influence a Muslim people with their liberalism and degeneracy.

It is the same characters.
Please what Liberalism all I said was that Waaqism was a pagan religion that Somalis still practiced after rejecting the Torah & Bible and that it is thanks to my ancestors that a majority of Somalis are even Muslims in our times and that they haven’t had any influence on it despite *supposedly according to you guys claims from your stupid clans* being a fully Islamic country for 1400 years

So you are not a somali.
"thanks to my ancestors all somalis are muslim" nigga who's your ancestors :gladbron:

They influenced Christianity within their own ethnic group not much on the global stage or there would be Tewahedo churches all over. They did influence Christian Oromos , I agree. As did the Somalis with Islam and the Oromos.
Islam, cannot be compared to Christianity as we can’t just form our own ethnic/ national “churches” …
I am not saying you have to be Muslim to be Somali but Islam played a central role in the formation of the Somali nation and identity.

You made some good points @Xoxoxo. See ya later

Waaq means protector, and Allah is the best protector. Somalis were never pagans

And thus We have revealed it as an Arabic legislation. And if you should follow their inclinations after what has come to you of knowledge, you would not have against Allah any ally or any protector.
