There needs to be a distinction between diaspora's living in English speaking countries & the ones who learned English as 3rd language

Bald and Bankrupt's whole thesis seems to be to shock Westerners with how backwards Eastern Europe and the former USSR are.

I very much enjoy his endeavours in the Slavic lands (primarily eastern Slavic lands). My ancestral lands from which my ancestors migrated to the Balkans. The people he encounters very much look like a lot of my relatives. And the mindset/mentality is the same (distrust towards the ruling class, proneness to conspiracy theories, aversion towards globalism)... The melancholy with which they express themselves. They have embodied the melancholic slavic soul. You can see it in their eyes. The slavic soul is indeed fascinating.

Yeah I agree! Especially when he meets the drunkards. My favourite is when he was somewhere in eastern Belarus. It is like time has stopped in 1987 in that part of the world. Lol its all so tacky. The hotels, interior decoration, everything. Lol.

Whenever he speaks to a Russian female stranger they always ask him whether he is single or not, and when he says he is, they start flirting with him.

The meme of Western men being able to get any Eastern Slavic woman easily seems to be real.

Yes and get disowned by my family. There is a belief among south Slavs that if you lay with a Roma woman you get some kind of curse upon yourself.

And in old times they stole children. , allegedly. Whenever my parents wanted me to behave when I was a kid, they told me that the gypsies would come and take me away.
