Sanaag was always dominated by Isaaq. Go and check the 1961 referendum, the HJ NUF party dominated the Sanaag votes. Warsangali and minority Dhulbahante combind made up 39% of the vote. This is with the largest Somaliland party SNL boycotting the vote, had the SNL voted Harti would have received an even smaller share of the Sanaag vote.

It’s literally 2021, and here we are arguing over the internet about which “clan” is the biggest in some dry ass deserts region which has been dirt poor for over three decades. We are an absolute laughing stock. No wonder we’re behind Kenya and Ethiopia in overall development, a damn shame.

On top of that it was Caare who fled to Qardho, Puntland saved you not the other way round.
