Silly point. I literally said all the best chefs who can probably out cook all the women in your fam are men. If women were naturally better, world class restaurants wouldnβt be run by mostly men, it would be mostly women. There is nothing female about the ability to cook. I used finances to show you they can do it but choose not to do it out of laziness. Also within families women are better because they are raised to cook from a younger age whilst the brother gets to sit around and be served. There is nothing biological about that. Itβs upbringing.Operative term for [financial gain], ergo something they MUST do to earn a living. Just to clarify, I was not suggesting men could not do either, but raising the quality of the end product, and their natural aptitude for it. I pride myself in my cooking, but no where near females in my life.
Men and women donβt have the same strength. That is without doubt the most silliest argument. What does cooking have to do with strength or any specific ability? Youβve in fact disproven your argument. Most building sites are run by men because of menβs biological abilities. In the same token why arenβt most world class restaurants run by female chefs? In construction, I could ask a group of 10 women to demo a 10-storey property, and would expect them to complete the project, but it might take them a month, whereas a group of 5 men could complete it in half the time.
children is different as God has given mothers certain instincts and babies literally need their mothers for survival as food (breastfeeding) comes from their body. The same applies to raising children, where men could do it, if need be, but do lack certain properties a mother possesses, which a father does not.
It is by design for men by men, and hardly means men are better at cooking than women, and is being propagated to ring-fence the field for the 'boys club'.Silly point. I was not actually making the strength argument, but inferring quality of work, and timeframe, but could see why you might conclude so.Men and women donβt have the same strength. That is without doubt the most silliest argument.
I would concur, ergo my making the point. So, in principle, you concur on the child rearing front, from the biological aspect, but not quite agree on the cooking, and cleaning angle. What does cooking after to do with strength or any specific ability? Youβve in fact disproven your argument. Most building sites are run by men because of menβs biological abilities. In the same token why arenβt most world class restaurants run by female chefs?

To demonstrate: ask a man to feed the kids; he would do a half-arsed job of it, for he lacks requisite dexterity. He would starve them at best, or at worse poison them. The best amongst men would burn out, in no time, if pressed to raise to the challenge.
So, in a nutshell, you are making the case that men are better chefs than women?Nope, I disagree in all sense. Cooking is a skill that's learned, where the gender aspect is irrelevant here. Doesn't even affect the slightest.
I myself come from a family, where both of my parents knows how to cook all types of food, traditional Somali food and western cuisine alike.
Growing up, they emphasized the importance for my and my siblings (brothers and sisters) to learn as well. In our household, all of us do the cooking and the person in the kitchen depends on the occasion. Not because we're obligated, but we are used to contribute whenever we feel like doing it.
For reference, even if my father don't cook as often as my mother, his cooking skills are on par with my mother's.
Silly point.
I deliberately side-stepped these gambits, but for this interaction, think of me not smart.Iβm sorry, but youβre usually smarter than this. But comparing cooking and cleaning to things like strength and mothering which is biological isnβt smart whatsoever.
So, in a nutshell, you are making the case that men are better chefs than women?
exactly, the only worry I would possibly have is if sheβs bad with money. Or if sheβs richer than I am and has that mentality lol.A man or woman will not hesitate to spend their last penny on each other if they're in love. Like I said, you Somalis see relationships through transactions, not love which explains the super high divorce rates, the super high single rates, and the super high miserable rates of Somali couples I see in public and of those I know.
Comp Sci and Comp Eng are two distinct fields with some overlap.Brilliant; why not do both? In what year?
In Comp. Sci., what discipline viz. hardware, programming, database, network, InfoSec, architecture, consulting etc., do you wish to specialise in?
I think it would have been much easier had we been having the conversation in-person, for I am missing something. Not really. I completely disregarded gender in my previous post, as you have to look at it from another angle sxb.
Cooking is no different from another skill, let's say coding. Not an equal comparison, but it will suffice in giving the bigger picture.
Do you look at the gender, when you try to determine people that excel coding? Most likely not. It's all about knowledge. The same can be applied to cooking.
As far as my family, I can honestly say that in some regards I am as good as my mom, while she stands out in other regards. Even dishes that I *only* learned through watching my my cook while growing up (humble brag, kkk).
I think it would have been much easier had we been having the conversation in-person, for I am missing something.
Bear with me for a second, as I try it at a different angle: Do you think there are specific tasks men are better at than women, and vice versa?
Then, we are in agreement; toss the 'strength ' argument to aside for a moment.Yes, I do. In some aspect do gender play a significant role.
For instance, in certain physical tasks do men tend to be superior at. Which is self explanatory, as we are naturally built different and have different capabilities, that differs from women. Among other things.
Likewise are there things women are more exceptional at. For instance, women tend to more nurturing than men, which means that in those occupations women can deliver better than men.
Regardless, if we have gender differences, most things can be done by everyone. However, in certain aspect are men respective women better fitting. But this is just my five cent

Your disagreement is the cooking question, and you are referencing your own life experience, and I mine.
Did I miss something?
Good man. I am glad you have not lambasted me of being a misogynist git.
Good man. I am glad you have not lambasted me of being a misogynist git.
I have had these types of conversations with women in life, and we tend to agree on almost all counts.

That is not quite very Dutch of you, is it? I thought you were least agreeable on the Continent always picking on some small neighbour to bully.Nah, I'm not that person. I do recognize that people differ in opinions, even when it comes to 'facts'. But as long as someone brings forward their viewpoint in a respectful matter, irrespective of the shareholders' opinion; what is there for me to insult or confront someone about?
