Look at this filith.

@GaradShabeel Look at this revisionism! Kulaha somalis killed off hararis, when it was habesha that genocided them and then oromos that displaced them. Fucking snake ass habesha
:gucciwhat:

It's the same people aiming for a revival of the same Imperial monarchies that caused havoc in the region, beginning with Abiy and his aspirations :heh:

Just the other day, when they were celebrating the Ethiopian victory against Somalia, they were telling us Somalis, that DDS is Ethiopian land and if we want to secede, we should leave for Somalia. If it's one thing they have, it's audacity :drakewtf:

We Somalis have lived with Hararis for centuries. My clan have documented evidence of this since the Adal sultanate 500+ years back, before Abyssinians stepped foot there. Balaayo been badaana :westbrookwtf:

Wallahi if we didn’t lose we’d have ogaden, dire Dawa and harar as apart of somalia. Did you know that Harar was a proposed capital of somalia when we first got independence?
:wow:
There’d be at least a few million hararis right now if we didn’t screw up. Did we actually betray hararis? How did they get massacred by habesha, where were somalis?

Do you have some manuscript within your family's heritage?

They still eat raw meat to this day like barbarians 🤣🤣 Where were they when the ancient Land of Punt was trading with merchants from Phoenicia, Ptolemic Egypt, Greece, Parthian Persia, Sheba, Nabataea and the Roman Empire? Where were they when Somalis made among the oldest ships in Africa to trade with other civilizations and empires? While Somalis were trading with ancient Egypt in the 2nd millennium BC, this backwards fools were banging their mothers! To this day they still eat raw meat like backwards apes that Somalis forced them to eat in the Conquest of Abyssinia. They’re are people to this day crying about when Ahmed Gurey conquered and brunt down their shanty churches. That’s what I call 500 years of generational trauma. 🤣🤣

I know, Hararis even fought with us :banderas:

Which I now regret they did, because the purged the faced because of it.... Thats when most of them became forcibly displaced and exiled to other places. They were an easy target, because they were a small ethnic group. :kendrickcry:

May Allah reward them for the sacrifices they made.:rejoice:

Harar could have been the capital of Somaliweyn? It’s a city with great importance but nah we should have kept it as somewhere else. It’s location is too close to Ethiopia.

It belongs to no one. It’s a chartered city. Ethnic federalism has been cancerous, the idea of cities belonging to different ethnic groups is r3tarded.
Does that happen in Eritrea? Y’all have as much ethnic groups as they do?

Do you have some manuscript within your family's heritage?

Unfortunately we don't. :jcoleno:

It's mostly been transfered between the generations through oral traditions. And it concurs with most of the historical documentation from at the time. But not from my family/ancestors specifically. We've tried to find more, but as far as specific individual, it's been hard. :francis:

This is a very one sided beef. I don’t think most Ethiopians care about or even know who Ahmed Gurey was.

Eritrea only has 9 recognised ethnic groups compared to the dozens in Ethiopia. The regions in Eritrea are mostly geographical. Anyone can live anywhere and it’s not like there is any avenue for people to express their gripes about. Isaias does as he likes[/SPOILER]

Yes but it’s smack dab in the middle of Oromia. It’s a charted city but what ethnic group lived there before Habesha expansionism?

Sorry to tell you buddy, but ethnic federalism is here to stay :nahgirl:

You can only blame the successive Ethiopian regimes, be it republican or imperial, for everything they've done to the people. (You know yourself what Eritreans experienced during its "short" stint, being occupied. Imagine being part of the country for much longer.) Even today do very few trust them. Maybe if they tried to correct the error of its past, some would consider. But it's too late now. Most Ethiopians are sceptical of the state. :manny:

You don't see Somalis in Kenya complaining like those in Ethiopia, despite Kenya not having ethnic federalism, and even Somalis integrated into society among the other ethnic groups. Hint: The problem isn't the ethnic federalism in itself.

boohoo, they got kicked out in the 19th Century. Tough luck. 200 years later it’s home to almost 4 million people and it’s the economic hub of the country. It would be irresponsible to allow an ethnic based federation to take control of it

Yes when we first got independence, Hararis were heavily involved with the SYL. Harar was a proposed capital, it wasn’t the best idea but they had their reasons. They sided with us countless times. Dawg I lowkey feel like we failed them. They fought in our wars, not just them but the now almost extinct warjih and argobba too. I should make a thread on them. They were also apart of adal/ifat sultanate and were long time traders and merchants in saylac and around somali areas. They got eaten up by oromo expansionism. It’s high time we called out this fake ethnic group called “oromo”

Well at the very least you were mentioned in the gadabursi chronical that goes back 500 year into the past so that'll be an interesting read for you.

This is yet another example of Amhara expansionism. They should’ve stayed in their damn mountains. How can you complain about seeing Oromos in Addis when it’s their land? You are not being genuine. You claim to dislike ethnic federalism but I don’t believe it.

The problem is that ethnic federalism gives an avenue for disgruntled people to cause havoc. At least pre-Meles, if there were any separatists trying to cause mayhem they would be gunned down on the spot. The current system has allowed further radicalisation into these separatists groups as well
