If greater Somalia happened

Are you dumb or? A grandmother from mothers side or fathers side regardless is still an ancestor?

Anyone you descend from, male or female. Father’s or mother’s side is still ancestor.

Is English not a language you understand well?

@Malsi is a man of my country and just because he has relations from other clans doesn’t mean he will sit quietly or not advocate for our nation and people. This not the dhaqan of our country, politics is kept separate from family affairs.

He's definitely trolling, treating Somalis like different races due to qabiil :wtf: :snoop:
There is the Somali macro ethnicity, with many nations/qabils (call em whatever you want) falling under this category.

I don’t doubt that at one point we were as close as a family. but 3000 years has since passed, world changes, new people emerge, people split off.

It’s true, Somalia was a huge landmass, bari to baraawe is greater in distance than London to Barcelona. Hundreds of clans, dialects, and a few languages here and there. Gacaltinimo and being courteous is one thing but to ignore the substantial differences is to blindfold yourself to reality.

The type of Somali spoken differs, the mannerisms, the lexicon, the sophistication everything differs. The people’s mindsets and the way they approach problems or treat others, again quite different. This pan Somalism has tried to turn everyone into a quintessential northern somali, it has forced a sort of conformity which truth be told has never been there.
That's what I keep telling people. We sre very diverse. Sure there is commonality here or there.

Bro you can't be serious at this point, treating qabiil like a different race..I understand the political situation in Somalia but common, we don't have to lie about our ethnicity and race to separate ourselves from other Somalis, it's just shameful and on the edge of self hatred.

Somalis haven’t split off simply because we’ve been marrying each other’s women. We are literally one of the most homogeneous groups of people and the differences you’re noting is to be expected. You will not find one ethnic group that doesn’t have differences in terms of dialect, accent and even slight regional cuisines. Only low IQ Somalis like to make a fuss about it since being hateful is second nature to many.

A poster said if we all become different countries via main tribes, sub tribes will fight and even declare there are differences between them. Even Darood, as a clan you’re very different. A Marehan doesn’t speak the same as a Dhulbahante or Warsengli, even fact those two have more in common with an Isaaq so saying this as a Darood is ironic indeed.

I don’t draw the line at Darood, Darood is not real. My nation is Majeerteen. I speak about the people of the north east, not all Darood.

Also do consult this map of various languages and dialects spoken in the southern realm of the Somali peninsula.

No I said it’s a nation not a race. We all share the same racial origins, compare it to like the Germanic nations, all share common descent from three thousand years ago but now they’re dispersed and occupy different lands and have their own nations. Somalis are going the same way.

I love Isaaq iyo Hawiye. One is my wife and the other is my grandmother.

I am open about my statements.

If I said anything wrong about culture and identity? Then prove me wrong.

Otherwise, keep it moving Insha'Allah tacala 👍
