First question, Island near to whom here. Somalia or Yeman?

Plus We know british used to sent yemaines to another countires like India iyo Somalia before.

Last and important is this island is danger to our security. Imagine Somalia enemeys hire this Island. Would Yeman says no to money or care for Somalia?.

End of discussion this Island belong to Somalia.
You're an idiot buuqlander Soctora belongs to its yemeni natives who speak a Mehri dialect called Soqotari

Socotra is a Greek name that is derived from the name of a South Arabian tribe mentioned in Sabaic and Ḥaḑramitic inscriptions as Dhū-Śakūrid

The origins of the inhabitants of the island of Socotra go back to Mahra bin Haydan, as stated in the book Lisan al-Arab by al-Hamdani.

I'm worried about the Somalis in Kenya. They've always walked on eggshells and have been targets but this just gave those dameers more ammo to attack without reason

Laws that govern land borders are well established and clearly defined, however maritime boundaries laws are not set on a stone and some of them fall in gray area that's open to legal interpretation.
over all this is a good W
I think thats when there is some stuffs like icelands and irregular territorial bonderies but this is not the case, its crystal clear that somalia would legally won against kenya cuz the kenyans didnt even came up with legally sound arguments apart from bluffing and claiming that somalia has the longest sea in africa

Imagine, if somalia would've claimed to shift that line in favor of somalia you think ICJ would give Somalia half of what it allegedly claimed

So again this has nothing to do with ambiguity in maritime laws but absolutely goes to the fact that we are too weak and fragmented to fight back

That tiny area of Somalia was Bajuni/Swahili originally (Bajuni islands). Culturally closer to Kenya.

So if Kenya takes over those waters, it's not that big of a deal. Somalis barely controlled that area historically.

But of course, I am not on Kenya's side. Just putting it into historic perspective.

Lol Somalia sold 20% of its waters to Kenya so that Faarmajo doesn’t lose his embezzled millions in investments that are in Kenyan banks and properties. This guy doesn’t give a flip about Somalia.

Being the president is a cash grab for him and people eat it up because of qabil, he uses tribe to fool low IQ who have no running water. (I don’t blame him)

Hey, it’s better than working in Buffalo in a depressing office.

Also FYI, I would do everything faarmajo does too. :deadmanny:

The time to steal Socotra was last year when Yemen was down on its knees.

But if Somalis were to steal Socotra, those Arabs would lynch thousands of Somalis living in Yemen.
Thanks for Yeman civil war most of Somalis back to country plus Yemenis.
