You can't get a second wife just cuz you want one you have to be able to provide for her and equally love your wives. Even though it's permitted a lot of scholars advise against it.

Anyways to answer your question OP my parents are divorced and I'm glad. I'd much rather my parents getting a divorce than my dad getting a 2nd wife.

My dad loves my mom and his children too much to do something like that. But if he were to even entertain the idea I would try my hardest to make sure it wouldn’t happen for my mom’s sake. I love her too much to allow anything like that to happen.
