It is being discussed political so hopefully changes will be made. The police are supposed to have a dual purpose of securing evidence for both parties in the adversary system.

Hopefully this will be the case. Judicial studies makes my head hurt , so I have a ton of respect for you to be studying that. I will stick to commercial law, which might be less prestigefull, but a lot more relaxing

It is about cultural perspective. Children aren't capable of agency and from there it is deducted that they have few rights to be respected.

The Western world has the opposite view, since children have no agency there is heighten need to preserve their rights until they can make use of them.

I only have a handful of short verses memorised. Bare minimum to pray with if I'm being honest. I always struggled memorising it, even as a kid.
