There isn't a single culture where gays are tolerated, do you truly think that they'll be allowed to live openly in Somalia without persecution? Sxb, I was in mall last week in Melbourne sitting and having lunch with a friend. I could hear a couple sitting behind us with their daughter (4-5) years old and from their accent, I noticed they were Saudis. The wife had niqab and their daughter like all Saudi girls at her age showed her hair. My friend asked me to look behind and then I see two Somali girls with niqab talking to the couple and lecturing them to cover their daughter with hijab. The Saudi guy got offended and told them to mind their own business and them going on and on how they want 'to guide their fellow muslims into the siratul mustiqiim'. When they became a menace and the wife asked her husband to call the security guards, I intervened and told the Somali girls in Somali to leave them alone. They left and I apologised to the family and the first question they asked me, 'were these Somali girls Alshabaabs"? Like these chicks, we lack tolerance. We couldn't tolerate one another because of clannism and caused us immense problems, could we tolerate anyone else?

My guess is, when you choose the world and greed over common sense, you prioritize what you want as a parent and ignore what your children want as human beings, weird things happen.

One of the things earlier Christians criticized Islam for was the liberal attitude towards sex. First, Allah made marriage legal so one to prove their obedience, they should not give up on marriage and become celibate. Second, as long as a man can have sex and satisfy a woman, the prophet said to the parents to marry him without burden. The hadeeth was" if someone you are pleased with their character comes to you asking for your daughter's hand, marry him" or something close to that. So, there should be no condition to let young people marry and enjoy life. If you prevent young adults from experiencing life as human beings as they should, they will find ways to meet their needs and most of the time it won't be something society approves.

These Saudis mostly want expensive dowry and don't allow anyone else outside immediate clan or relatives to marry their own. They don't allow non-Saudi Muslim to marry their women. Widows and divorced women are condemned to stay single forever to their death. They are paying the price. Racial bigotry, clan bigotry, greed all combined have reared their ugly heads in that society. And they look sickly to me anyway from intermarrying for generations. Talk about a disaster.

It is interesting that Arabs before Islam, were sexually gymnastic, or adventurous. Even when Islam arrived too, 4 wives are allowed for a man. this shows a healthy thinking about sex with no hang ups about it. But it took Christianity to taint sex as something terrible. lol The British colonials were horrified to see homosexuality practiced so openly without any regard to Haaya in all the uncivilized world they ventured to . lol If u look at Christian doctrine, the only thing i can date to this prim priggish tone towards sex is the Virgin Mary who had Jesus without sex.
