Quite a few similarities actually, just slight differences in saying it.

Lama - 2 - Labo
Saadi - 3 - Sadex
Afur - 4 - Afar
Shan - 5 - Shan
Torba - 7 - Todhoba
Sadeet- 8 - Sideed
Sagal- 9 - Sagaal.
There are many words that are similar, I've heard Oromos use ilma/children, amount/meqo, their word for birth is similar too, idk how its spelt. Good/Ficaan in Af-Maay is Fay and I think its similar in Oromo.

ilma and ilmo are used for child. Meeqa is how much. Amount is Hanga. And good is gaarri or Dansa in Borana.

Lama can actually be found in the Somali language. I’m reffering to the word ”lamaano”/ ”lamaane” meaning two people in love/relationship...

@kickz
Also D**ro means ”choose” so maxaan kala dooranaa? Digaagad mise maxay kale dee?:vo3yidw:

Yh isn't "lama" said in the south(some parts)?

D00ro does mean choose, but it's also used as a cuss for some Somali tribe, hence why it's censored.

My household uses both terms, but only refers to chicken as doro when it's alive and digaag when it's cooked.
