we have always used chicken now that I think about it, but no one would be confused in my family if both dooro or digaag is used :)

I never had the pleasure of living with ayeeyo, so I don't know but both my parents say jikin (chicken), although we speak Somali exclusively in our household, there are loan words here and there :)

But I asked my mom what’s the Somali word for chicken and she said doro
