Feminism has turned women into men

I'm a proud feminist. If Allah wills, one day I hope to lead a Somali organization fighting misogyny in the motherland.

Feminists argue that abortion is a “necessity for millions of women worldwide, for their health, for their wellbeing, for their dreams of a better tomorrow”. This is not new. The same kind of argument was used by feminist Margaret Sanger (first wave) to kill jew, black, latins and slave children.

Margaret Sanger was an rich feminist, birth control activist and sex educator. As the current feminists she wanted a world “without oppression” and all that kind socialists quotes.

She has created the base to the Planned Parenthood. The organization has its roots in Brooklyn, New York, where Margaret opened the country’s first birth-control clinic (abortion). The feminist Margaret Sanger was a crazy racist and eugenicist. It was integral to the implementation of eugenics to eliminate the ‘unfit’ (black, jew, latins, slave,…).

The same Sanger was who persuaded a few rich and “opressed” women to carry on her feminist agenda. She believed the entirety of the black population were intellectually and racially inferior. Many use this statement to bolster the claim that Sanger wanted to exterminate all of the black population.

One of Sanger’s favorite slogans, so much so that it adorned the masthead of her Birth Control Review, was this: “Birth Control: To Create a Race of Thoroughbreds.”

Was Sanger not concerned about it? Apparently not enough to be turned away from an exciting chance to speak to the KKK. Yes. There’s no denying it: this feminist icon spoke to the KKK in New Jersey in May 1926.

Feminism is/should be in the spirit of advocating women's rights like Education, job opportunities and equality, healthcare coverage, influencing government policies for society's good. The kind of feminism that destroys the quality of life for the females are the ones that use the good tool of advocacy for something useless that results in disappointments for women later on in life.

It is what feminist chooses to advocate for that determines the ultimate success for their cause. Back home, feminist movement in line with the culture would be what is needed. Somalis back home are more open and advanced than many Islamic countries including Rich Muslim countries, We lack the wealth, but the Somali spirit of having women in leadership roles in their homes, in their communities, heck, they even encouraged men to plunge into the fire of war to defend their clans, only women could do that because Somali men would be ashamed not to heed the call of their women into battle.

Choose what works for your feminist movement respecting the local culture and looking forward instead of looking inward.

The word feminism carries negativity because of how it is used that produced unintended consequences in society here in the west. But in many Islamic countries, girls are denied education, forced into marriages arranged by their parents, may not own properties themselves, confined and in prison like situations. Thank God Somalis are culturally averse to these practices. But good movements are important to address the ills of society. Men can lead it, women can lead such efforts, together or separate, call it feminism or what is acceptable to the local society, just get something good done. Disagree?
