Do you ask the person's qabiil when you are getting to know someone romantically?

I’ve never asked I rlly don’t care about qabil. But I have noticed that a lot of people will ask which region/city you come from as a roundabout way to figure out your qabil lol. Once I say my father’s side is from a city 1 hr from Hargeisa they know immediately what qabil I’m from
So you are samaroon, I do indeed fancy Reer Borama qalanjos. I'm gonna huuno my way into your heart
:banderas:

I am curious: since most of you, and I am generalising here, could not save your lives if the only condition was to speak Somali, why bother with 'qabiil', esp. when most of you know nigh to nought about it, are likely to abuse it, if misuse it? How does it benefit any of you in the West? Why not just go by 'Somali'?

Oh by the way, there is nothing wrong with knowing someone's 'qabiil', but it is the practice of 'qabyaalad', which is regressively, if dangerously lethal, esp. when the wanna bee practitioner is clueless as to its goings.

@Javelin where is the sSpot match-making app. you were working on? I notice there are a few prime candidates here. You would make a pretty penny, mate, with @Idrus being your side kick.

@LasanoodBoy
This man is too honest for this stiff audience, and his punches are not landing, let alone begetting rib-roaring effects :)

Postscript:
Oh by the way, if you all do your 'abtirsi', you will discover you are all related in one way or another mostly through maternal lineage.

I don’t ask. I can for the most part sense the qabiil after I interact with them. If they have following:
shitstaned teeth and crazy eyes= Isaaq
Short and poor person hygiene = hawiye
If they remind you of a monkey= Raxaweyne
If they look malnourished and LGBTQ = Darood
If they are gorgeous and kind = Reer xamar cascad
This is just the ones I have the top of my head. Accents give it away of course.

I regret my comment. How do I delete comments on this site? It wasn’t even my comment I got it from somewhere else. I don’t know much about tribes.. probably because my Somali is average. Apologise for my comment it’s my first time trolling tonight.
