President Mustafe Cagjar is right here. Somali govt and its leaders have failed to live up to their responsibilities to defend their country. So why go to DDS and call for rebellion when you aren't even living up to your responsibilities?

Somalia just had the arms embargo lifted, so if the Somali govt leaders are genuine about confronting Ethiopia, why not pursue getting meaningful weapons such as missile boats, drones, ATGMs, and air defense to defend Somali territories? Let us face it, there is no real govt in Somalia that cares about the territorial integrity and sovereignty of its country.

It’s a very steep uphill climb that I can’t see him overcoming, especially now that he’s pissed of his neighbours. Ethiopia is a vulnerable child and somehow Abiy has manoeuvred it into Epstein’s basement.

btw the ENDF is overwhelmingly comprised of Oromos and people from the Southern Nations region of Ethiopia. Amharas are wildly underrepresented

Hopefully, Eritrea and Egypt are supporting the FANO. They seem to be the only force currently confronting Abyei's Oramomu project.

Some people hate to hear this but the only competent leader, be it president or PM, to ever step foot in villa Somalia since the Italians was Kheyre. His ties to Norway is what got government departments paid on time and funding for the maritime case. And he destroyed no army rather he pacified the army and removed ghost soldiers. If ONLF had gotten support in the 90s and the 200 when they were routinely smoking the Tigrays, then Ethiopia wouldn't be having a free hand at somali seas today

In a way, the ONLF, despite not being strong enough to face the Ethiopian army on their own did, and they fought for a long time, and eventually, part of the reason why they couldn't continue fighting is because of Somalis.

If FGS wants to defend their seas, why don't their actions shows this?

The FGS are trying to force an illegal constitution change that is widely unpopular among Somalis. They can't even compromise to delay forcing constitutional changes that is rejected by shareholders in Somalia at a time that our seas are being annexed, and Al Shabab remains a threat, all because they're power hungry.

Let alone their other actions such as helping secessionists against unionists because of qabyaalad.

Somalia does not care about it's seas, it doesn't even take the most basic of steps to defend it that any other country would do. Somalis in Ethiopia should not trust them when they can't even sort out their own house, they will only bring misery and death to them with nothing to show for it.

Every land that Somalis have lost after WW2 is because of treaties they signed. Ogaden in Ethiopia got duped by isaaq to sign a treaty with Ethiopia. NFD the Somali government is to blame 100%.
