Turkey was at its lowest point in the 20th century when it tried to act secular. Why was turkey refused entry to the EU? It is all to do with their Muslim identity. The threat of the 70m+ Turkish Muslim population joining yh UK was important in making the minds up of many British people who voted Brexit.Now that Erdogan has restored there dignity, Turkey is free to act according to his countries best interests whether he has the West’s apporval or not. The country's economic rise has been meteoric, lifting millions of people out of poverty. Turkey was going downhill until Erdogan stepped into power. Turkey now is a vastly different country to a decade ago and Turkey is said to be a developed country by 2029 so how is it going downhill?

Did you forget how these first world nations came to be first world in the first place? You think the human rights and a fair work ethic got them to the top? Don't act like for the longest times these nations didn't exploit others, it's been like this for the longest.
