A Dam was needed there, floods happen every gu rain obstructing the trade route between Bosaso and Garowe.

Big things happening in puntland, Proactive action by the state government esp since droughts and irregular rainfall are going too become common place, More Dams to protect our livestock industry (which is a good chunk of our foreign currency earnings), and helps conserve water for use in the drier months.

More roads to improve transportation efficiency from baadiyo to cities. Win-WIn. All those small tuulos have access to markets in the big cities. Expect rural development to improve, and increase economic diversification in those previously inaccessible areas. This is forward thinking.

Are most of the Dam,Road,Infrastructure projects are going to Puntland companies?

i hope so it will allow infant industries (Engineering,Construction) to grow and keeps money flowing internally. Protectionism and tariffs should be next and import substitution subsidies.

I'm not suprised cause some of the kids i went to school with in puntland back then have graduated in engineering, Computer science, Construction management, and a good chunk are now coming back home to work.

Every road whether it's already paved or being paved in the future should include landscapers to do the 'tree lining and sidewalk paving', electricians to put up street lights, the drainage team to deal with rain-water. This must be the norm under 'garowe town planning law'
