Why is abye giving update?I have to update my prediction and reduce the length of the operation to now may be 1-2 weeks
PM Abiy is giving press release. The air force completely destroyed all rockets and missiles that was stationed around Mekele in Tigray. He said now there is no more big threat from TPLF and the operation will be accomplished very fast. He listed the following remaining tasks:
• disarm any security force of the Regional State and to maintain the peace and security of the civilian population;
• Impose restrictions on modes of transportation
• Impose curfew
• Detain those it suspects taking part in illegal activities that endanger the constitutional order
• Use proportionate force to restore law and order
• Take measures necessary in furtherance of the objectives of the State of Emergency
It should be the military generals.
Or Minister of Defence ,Abye should act normal and continue his business.
This is not two countries fighting but a domestic issue.Giving too much attention means alot potrays him as weak he needs to downplay it and let his the military speak.

1.TPLF will never come back to power so I dont need to concentrate on them they are as gone as mengistu and haile selasie.
2.Abye is a Murtad I will never trust a murtad they are the most evil human beings.
3.Is ever since TPLF left there has be no significant change in DDS even the generals in charge of the DDS are the same Tigrayans and those that were committing gross human rights violation.
4.Somalis in Ethiopia are not considered as citizens but more of Refugees.
5.Killings of Somalis in DDS hasnt stopped last week scores of Somalis were killed by Afar liyu polis while the ENDF sided with them and were also looting somalis properties.
6.Mass migration of amhara into DDS has occured under Mustafa and have taken most of the vital roles of the state parastatels the Telecommunication sector is ran by Xabashis, the Power/ energy sector is ran by Xabashis like every vital part even the airport is ran by Xabashis Somalis only have kangaroo parliament and President who cannot even look at a xabashi in Jigjiga.Even with the on going war against Tigray.A Tigray man can slap Cagjar and the ENDF would side with him.

No, because all neighbors are cooperating and are friendly countries and the war seem to last not more than 1-2 weeks. Any foreign involvement without the assistance of our neighbors is impossible. The neighbors are not stupid to go hostile for the sake of another country like Egypt. So no worries here.
If he wants to give the impression that its him who won he should have left a jubiour minister or junior military official do the brief wgile he pretends nothing is happening in Tigray.
Him standing in a press conference gives bad image of him especially when IC are seeking cessation of hostilities.
But it is very important for the local people to have a PM that updates the press on time. This was one of the failures of Hailemariam Dessalegn. Both Meles and Abiy are doing well in this regard. Hailemariam was hiding while the country was on fire due to protests and sends a bad massage that the authorities are weak and not in control. Abiy and Meles do this the right way. In a patriarchal society like ours you need an assertive leader who gives the impression that everything is under control (sad but true). Hailemariam was not that leader and the country ended in chaos.
