Probably s southern thing. But you see old photos of Somali kids in the south with dead aquatic animals like shark. I myself had an encounter with a baby shark whilst swimming in the red sea off the costs of Djibouti as a child. Sadly I didn't get to practice Geelgire martial arts on it.

Somali culture is strong enough as is but ofc we should build it up more. Let go of oral and collect all written manuscripts and compile and publish them. Same with the oral tales and history, write and publish them.
