A few weeks ago this somali chick on the train starred so hard and it was obvious it was because of my husband and I being from 2 different cultures. She was probably thinking what is my somali guy doing with this white woman. But it doesnt bother me nor does it bother him. I'm in a country where neither one of us obviously belong and then you see him and hes very dark, and then I'm very very light skinned, and I can see why people stare, perhaps out of curiosity or maybe they just dk what we are. Your not being intrusive. I care about the environment yes. I want the world I live in to be free of trash, pollution and anything harmful. But the environment is something much bigger than myself . I alone cant contribute to much to making it any better. It'll take everyone pitching in.

I'm coming up on 1 year living here so I cant say much about my experience. But again last week we were walking near an area where a lot of the older somali men get together to chit chat and as we walk by we walked through a few Somali guys who were just outside the cafe who I'd say were in their late 20's to early 30's and you could just feel and again notice that they were looking at him and I hard. It doesnt bother me. My husband isnt blind or dumb, he knows its expected.
