What makes you think that Somalis carry this "slow-aging" gene too, since we are pretty much unrelated genetically?
From what I've seen Somalis age considerably better than white people although not as well as madows.
Anecdotal evidence is pretty much worthless in this kind of scenario though.

I don't know much about the slow-aging gene, but melanin is what protects us blacks from the sun. Black people are more likely to have the slow-aging gene than white people. As you can see in the article, they also put a picture of Iman because she is black too. If a white person wears sun block, under the UV rays they will appear as black.

Like imagine a child pestering a parent, the parent starts their sentence of with that^, and then the discipline comes.
