If you check flightradar24 you will see that most of the flights mentions on the list that Ethiopian said was "fake" fly over Djibouti now and before 25/26th february used to fly over Somaliland/Somalia.
Is it any truth in what he says from 7:40, that Somaliland was going to re-unit with Somalia? It sound very unrealistic.
Whatever happened in that meeting in Djibouti must have been gone pretty bad.
For some reason some of the flights mention above are flying over Djibouti, since 25/25 February. It look like they did not stop flying over Somalia/Somaliland, but some flights are using Djibouti for now.
I don’t know think Somaliland care too much about recognition. They have never pushed too hard for it. The more unrest the more the ic will want to engage.
I don’t think this will make Somaliland to withdraw. It would not benefit them. All the years with peace got them nowhere internationally. Somalia is unstable and money and attention comes their way.
Sadly no profit in peace.
I would say they are speculating and possible misleading. Like they say UK is covering up, when it is possible they are withholding the report for several reasons. Like they don’t want to reveal their sources, etc. RT say something about the reason being that a British company is earning money...
Somaliland claim it is several parties involved, but have not provided solid enough evidence for it.
It is possible there are one or several parties responsible.
I don't need the fact explained, I like the evidence.
I can see that you don't know as you did not point out the actual findings that would show it is Somaliland security forces behind it.
If you read it they write that they have findings it is Somaliland behind it, but do not provide the evidence. And they ask all parties to the conflict in Las...
.."as it shares findings that Somaliland security forces indiscriminately shelled the town, damaging hospitals, schools and mosques, killing and injuring civilians, and displacing tens of thousands of people"
"According to witnesses, significant damage has been caused to hundreds of civilian...
Somaliland only allow France24 to ask POW about their health and treatment. But as any POW it is not easy to talk freely since they are in captivity.
Nicolas Delaunay, at International Crises Group says the do not have evidence that Punland, Somalia or Al-Shabab has instructed figters to go to...
obviously there is no Somalia. This was Mogadishu trying to visit Puntland. And it failed like everything else in Somalia. Why don’t they just admit it is split and move on. No point of beating a dead horse.
Somaliland is satisfied with status quo. If they wanted recognition they would not sit down and talk with Xamar. They would go towards Garowe… That would force the IC to force a solution.
