Your ideal place to retire?

Let’s be honest, Somalia will forever be shithole and even those little tuulos that are less likely to be attacked you will live like a peasant and have to deal with slow network I have decided to retire in Cascais, Portugal. The people are friendly, the country is beautiful and the food is Amazing.

Also the location is perfect, you will be 8 hours from East Africa and 9 hours from the states. one hour from North Africa, train ride to most EU countries.

Inshallah in 10 years I shall retire there

Somewhere in Somalia, it was beautiful and hiking up little mountains was pretty fun. Preferably on the coast next to a hilly area in midsized house, the biggest problem is internet, water and electricity. Everything is cheap though so it probably wouldn't be hard.

I've always wanted to hike around here. It'd make for an interesting trip, it extends from Ethiopia through Djibouti and into Somalia.

Internet is horrible if you take the cheap option which leaves you paying extortionist prices, I wish the government would regulate the prices and stop these fucking pieces of shits.

No, but I visit occasionally because I bought (Bank owns it) an apartment there that’s rented to tourists when I’m not there. It’s very popular with young European and Aussie tourists. Also, the Hemsworth brothers now live there.

Indonesia? Have you been there? The average Indonesian doesn’t speak any other language other than Bahasa, how could you manoeuvre the language barrier? Where in Indonesia?

I'm still reviewing my plans since i'm young but i like to plan ahead. i heard some areas in jakarta are nice. I could learn the landguage since i already know a couple of languages other than arabic and somali and am very good at learning languages.

Tbh it's going to be a fun experience. I plan to travel there some more before i make my final decisions. The good thing is all the food is halaal, so i don't have to worry about food.

What exactly do you want out of your retirement? I just want a cheap, sunny and interesting place.

I take it you don't reside in Europe so you probably have a romanticised view of it, if so it's best you avoid South Europe because it will be flooded by tourists and the summer is just utter shit. Beaches will be flooded and you'll be dealing with the all the trashy chavs Britian has to give. Spain is the biggest example.
