Come on man, stop trolling them. At least wait until there are a few more Y-full samples (soon hopefully) before pushing the idea that both men lived around the same time when it is most likely the case our TMRCA and that of our Arab cousins is around 3000 years.

Have you seen the latest updates to the Y-full E-V32 tree? It appears that their is a migratory explanation as to how Middle Easterners acquired E-V32 because they share a relatively recent ancestor with the Africans that have done a Big Y test etc.

Saudis have Horner admixture, so the T-Y45591 they have could come from Horners who crossed the Red Sea. Look at this, they also carry the Saho V22 version.

E-V22 has an old presence in Arabia due to its predominance in the wider Middle East/Mediterranean area etc hence it is not necessarily indicative of Horn ancestry. For all we know, their respective ancestors might have split early on and took separate paths.

Moreover, Y16897 does not originate in Africa and is currently more commonly found in the Middle East. Most of the African T's on FTDNA etc are also not Y16897. If it is established that we are the result of a youngish founder effect then it is very probable that we are the result of a migration from Arabia. We do not know yet if we spawned that Saudi.

The old Neolithic version of V22 is E-Y2498. The one labelled E-V3262 isn't Neolithic and looks quite specific to the Saho or at least Eritrea region. Proving there was ancient movement from Eritrea to Saudi Arabia and not just from Saudi Arabia to Eritrea.

We need way more Africans to test to make conclusive statements, but in general, always doubt the nativity of Gulf Arab results (excluding J1/E-M123). They are highly cosmopolitan compared to Horners.

Not necessarily. You see you could get another African E-V22 sample from North-East Africa that has a short TMRCA with those Saudis thus highlighting that it is not necessarily ancient.

You have excluded T-L208, which Y16897 is a part of, and has arguably as old a presence in the Middle East as J1 thus why its is relatively commonly found among all Semitic speaking groups, be they Ashkenazi Jews; Gulf Arabs or Assyrians etc. I think it is safer to keep an open mind until we get more Yfull results.

I know that L208 came from the Levant with the Neolithic.. However, the deeper Somali version could have just entered Egypt and moved that way to Somalia rather than via Arabia. That is my contention.

Gulf Arabs are overrepresented on yfull because they test more often than other regions of the world.. and with all of that testing, just one guy with Y45591 is a red flag for it being native there.

If it were deeply established in Arabia I would expect it to look like this:

https://yfull.com/tree/E-Y6169/
https://yfull.com/tree/E-Z21420/

or this

What you are forgetting is that there are not many individuals who are Y16897 on FTDNA. As more become tested, the picture might change, I agree. However, if the TMRCA of Somali Y45591 is found to be relatively young then one cannot discount that it is the result of a migratory founder effect. Moreover, the TMRCA of Y16897 is around 7000 years and this is way after T haplogroup had a presence in Egypt. Anyway, time will tell.

By the way, while browsing I noticed there is a rare J1* on there from Hadramaut. I think Socotris are not J* but J1* (old SNP panels wouldn't notice that):

Lol.. Hadramaut, Colombia, Finland that guy got around.

Click bait title. Did any of you watch the vid? She clearly states in the beginning her mom is full somali but her dad is half indian/half arab. She’s not barawanese. Typical somalis running with whatever shit.

@anonimo

More awesomeness:

They match an ancient sample from 12,000 BC Satsurblia, Georgia.

Socotris Wuz Ancient Caucasians. :dead:

People forget that J originated further North than Arabia, not surprised to see it all over the place, but Colombia is due to Iberian colonisation or due to the small Lebanese migration to Colombia.

Finland, possibly Jewish? Long shot, I know.

There is a paper just out on Central Colombian paternal ancestries. The Spanish have reshaped the y-dna profile of that area.

Almost all of them do.

It is widespread throughout this sub-ethnic group, just like the South Asian ancestry is. All it took was a few guys doing that and then letting the mixed offspring re-enter the community unnoticed.

I have not seen a Bravanese or Benadiri with 0% Bantu, while almost all ethnic Somalis with nomad ancestors are 0%.
I got 2.0% West Africa on 23andMe. But on DNA.Land the only African I get is 36% East African.

Somalia should have a 2.5 tribal system. :siilaanyolaugh:

Reer Samaale 1 (E-Y17859)
Reer Samaale 2 (T-Y45591)
Other (0.5 laangaabs)

99% of Somalis trace back to those two clades who emerged only 3,000 years ago.
How did Somalis become so anti foreigner. I’m about 40% Somali so that mean some Somalis mixed with primarily Arab and Hindi.
