Why do Somali's go against nationalism and opt for islamism and qabilism instead?

Turks/Anatolians can look back to their Byzantine/East Roman, Hittite and Lydian heritage.
Persians can look back to the many Persian/Iranian Empires throughout the ages.
Egyptians can look back to the Ancient Egyptian Civilisation and Empires.

but we have Somalis have nothing comparable to those peoples. Its the main reason why those peoples have i have mentioned are extremely nationalistic because their nationalistic pride has substance.

Sorry but wtf do the Blemmyes (Bejas) have to do with Somalis? Just cus they're Cushites it doesn't mean you can claim them and the Zagwe were all Christian, they didn't build any mosques wtf

I see where you're coming from. The issue is when it comes to ethnic nationalism it only encompasses the history of one Ethnicity/Nation that usually inhabit a particular land not a whole Sub-Race of people.

Hence why it's a lot easier for a Turkish/Anatolian person to directly identify with Ancient Anatolians or an Egyptian/Coptic person identifying with Ancient Egyptians because both aforementioned ancient groups are the direct ancestors of those modern populations.

it shouldnt matter their are a few countries in the islamic world that dont have much history before islam for exampel saudia arabia morroco oman

here is a explanation of what i mean

1. morocco history starts with the idrisid and muslim invasion but they still take pride in berber history of carthage in tunisa
2. Saudi Arabia dosent have much history but take pride in yemeni history
3. same with oman they dont have much history other then their islamic one and take pride in the broader arab history
