Yh ofc I never denied that. I'm not trying to take away achievements sbx but look at how far the Portuguese had to travel with their ships to go all the way to Somalia/Kenya to fight....and Somalia was stable and wealthier at the time, even having the Ottomans back them up (the strongest empire at the time). They had the upper hand.

Also, compared to other human history, we don't even come close to other nations. lmao. "among the best in the world" is a stretch of the imagination...a big stretch.

Uhm...so did xabeshas...Axum extended all the way to Persia and India/Sri Lanka. They were on par with the Romans, Persians, Chinese, and had their own gold currency. Somalia used it's strategic location and free ports + had Muslim ties whereas Axum reached al those places alone, there wasn't a nearby Christian power. Just my thoughts
