It is unacceptable what they do in Djibouti, they actually made the Yemenis that came over there during colonial times for economic reason recognized as the 3rd ethnic group. At times it feels like the government trying to replace the natives of the country.

There are Afar that lived in northern parts of djibouti but small in numbers no doubt there many brought over especially from Ethiopia that intended the country not be solely inhabited by Somalis.

mehh.. whats really driving anti-arab sentiments in somali society is arab gulf states and their interference in somali politics
Kenyan and Ethiopian interference is far far worse and they are literally occupying our lands like Israel does to the Palestinians you won’t see the hate and vitriol Somalis have for Arabs directed at the Black colonists Somalis have been severely subverted to the point they can’t even differentiate ally from enemy

Most of the people who speak negatively about arabs also feel the same about Kenya and Ethiopia and talk about nfd & ogaden all the time. It is possible to dislike multiple groups at once

Somalis hate Arabs more than they do Kenyans and Ethiopians who actually occupy us in Ogaden and NFD and are part of the AMISOM too, I’ve Somalis with Ethiopian and Kenyan bracelets the subversion is so deep

Never seen anyone with an ethio bracelet unless they were mixed but if sijuis want to wear Kenyan bracelets then I guess that’s assimilation. I’ve never seen anyone who hated arabs but didn’t care about nfd or ogaden like not even trolls online are like this. People usually recognize that multiple groups are bad and speak out against all of them. I feel like you’re creating a problem that doesn’t exist like find me one person who hates arabs but doesn’t care about what our neighbors are doing

Sax walal. But the thing are those videos don't know why they spreading irrelevant information about Jabbuti. Just because they come across with some 'fara-jin' influenced food like bread or some streets with the names of 'fara-jin' af, and it's suddenly a 'fara-jin' country in their eyes. And then next videos are like 'Jabbuti is a small country in the horn of Africa located on the red sea....blah blah...their culture, their food, they speak Arabic and 'fara-jin'...etc so it's a Arabic country!'. And I instantly freeze, let alone the Cafar but where's the Somali not even mentioned?!. Honestly I suppose it's not the faults of those content makers. Because it's all from this system which forcing 'fara-jin' to be our official language. But even in school that's what we learned: 'fara-jin' and Arabic' are just official language, while 'Somali and Cafar' are the national language.

Balse runahatii, I'm not complaining about the Arab population in Jabbuti. It just that I really dislike the 'fara-jin' language and it's effect that's outshine above any one else's.

This is definitely a problem. But im not too worried the djbouti elite are all either somalis or afars descended from somalis and who still speak af somali like the djbouti chariman of the African union.

Upon further reflection they probably let these kinds of narratives fly to keep the peace. But everybody there probably knows who has the real power.

What is Fara jin meant to mean? I'm guessing it's Carabta
