I grew up drinking tap water. I rarely drink bottled water. Tap water is almost all that I know. (besides the one jackie posted, aquafina, and ice mountain) What do you mean heavy and not smooth?

Can't they facilitate water filter systems on a community basis? I know this sounds like a first-world question, but I think instead of ambitious infrastructural projects, one can start doing low-medium localized solutions. It would be interesting to see how such solutions can be cheapened through what technology is available.

The government never had any incentive for projects or improving infrastructure because none of these commoner issues really affect them. If we upgraded and improved our water filtration systems not only will we kill the need for wasting resources on bottled water but the rates of water borne diseases and kidney stones could drop significantly. You need a non-corrupt gov and some finance to implement your ideas

I haven't seen that film before. One has to identify the problem and the challenges, look at the options for solutions, and pick the best cost-effective way to integrate that into an application.

The Nile looks like that because of sediment concentration in the water picked up through the stream.

Yeah. That's why localizing the problems, and downsizing will make it way easier to deal with. Large infrastructural projects are often significant entry threshold operations that require years of bureaucratic meddling and practical implementation, and once in operation will cover a lot but not fully. So the problems and the solutions need to be conceptually framed differently. It will cost less and incentivize politicians to allocate resources quicker since it's locally cheaper.
