In the last 20 yrs the circumcision in my region has been changed to fit with accordance of islam. Waad iiska boodaysa. Second. According to western standards circumcision of girls is mutilation.

Western NGOs in Somaliland and Puntland have substantially lowered the incidence of FGM in young Somali women over the past two decades.

It takes at least three generations for this practice to die out. Time will eventually solve it with laws against it and NGOs promoting information against it.

Nacasyahow isaaq. Islam says to circumcise man and women. So there is nothing wrong with it. Second for western standards to dictate what we do is bad. Thirdly according to the west circumsizing women is GM.
