Me and marriage aren't the best of buddies and I don't think that I will ever get married. I make that clear to the girls that I dated from early on in our relationships. But, if she ticks all my boxes, why wouldn't I date her? Her past prostitution is irrelevant and will never be an issue. Muslim men and in particular Somali men marry "Caucasian" women who converted to Islam though some did prostitution or were the city Uber prior to conversion. A child’s DNA might be 50-50 from the mother and father but the fathers genes are always more dominant and the child genetically resembles the father. That’s why even if you marry a Chinese or Arab women, your child is still Somali.

Why would I ask permission? I'm a man. Of course, they accepted. My dad and brothers, all share the same opinions about males only marrying out.

Bc my parents are from there and we have memorabilia, and they were personally affected through their families and etc. I always knew SL but I didn’t know the clan. My parents definitely are discriminating when it comes to marriage, but beyond that they never even told us anything about it.

I very well am, a tribalist. I am a hard supporter of Puntland. I love Puntland and Garowe, far more than Somalia and Xamar, because of my clan, and the benefits my clan gets from Puntland.
