The case for the Arabnes of Somalia

Hence why i support a future Arabist Somali regime removing bantus & barwanis from the country.
We need to ban western clothes in Somaliweyn. Every male shall wear a new specificly tailored thobe created by the govt for formal purposes and at home men must wear macaawis.

I don't want to see Somali Arabs wearing suits or western clothes in the homeland inshallah. Anyone caught wearing pants must be whipped in the street like a kalb

The Arab World already has enough Zunuuj & Haratin, now you want the Bantus to start speaking Arabic. We don’t need Somalian Arabic Ebonics walaal, let the pure Quraishi Abbasid Iraqis of Somaliland reclaim our lost heritage. Sheikh Ishaaq bin Ahmed Al Hashimi Al Husseini from Samarra,Iraq would be proud of his descendants and his grave in Sanaag is why it’s green with plenty of mountains due to his baraka and constant dhikr Allah yir7amak awoowo wa yadkhulak fi Jannatul Firdaws!!

Northern Somalis are Arabs, we are the Northern Sudanese of Somaliweyn

There aren't any major genetic differences between northern and southern Somalis tho and in terms of actual Arabian DNA its practically nonexistent, we are the purest Cushites for a reason.

Lmao Habesha have more of a claim to being Arab than we do since they have significant Arabian DNA and the literal Arab Rashaida living in Eritrea. Be proud of being Somali and not ana arab

Just because you say it, doesn't make it a fact. Northern Somalis and Southern Somalis are different and the difference is the Arabian ancestry.

Habesha don't have Arab ties or blood. They descended from a South Semitic speaking tribe which is why they are dominated by J-P56...while Somali J1 is completely Arabic in origin J-P58. Learn your shit before arguing little boy

It is fact. Look at pic related or any PCA or simply plug values into G25. We are very homogenous. If Northerners do have more Arabian DNA, its very little at the end of the dayView attachment 307411

Somalis are predominately E1b with some haplogroup T. J1 Somalis are rare and certainly not our Y-DNA.
J1 is highly concentrated among (1) integrated Arabs who are now autosomally Somali like the Arab Salah and (2) Somalis relegated to a lower caste, i.e. Tumaals, Madihibaan and the like. EV32 isn't classically associated with Arabs nor all that frequent among their E lineages, and I presume the admixture presented among Northern Somalis is maternal, not paternal. Having an Arab/Yemeni mother, grandmother, or female ancestor isn't enough to stake such a claim. Even @Khaemwaset can claim that given his family history (Yemeni grandmother). However, I am open to being corrected. I could argue that the Northern Sudanese from Khartoum are more Arab than Egyptians and the vast majority of North Africans if our metric is based on a higher frequency of J-P58. Somalis have some of the lowest frequencies relative to many other groups.

Pan-Arabism is dead, the Turks have moved on, the Syrians have moved on, The Iranians have moved, the Yemenis have moved on, and so on.

For now it's every man/nation for themselves, besides, how you asking us to unite with the Middle East when they can't even unite with themselves? You're telling me an Arab wants to listen to and accommodate a Somali, literally amongst the lowest group of people in the world, when Somalis directly contribute to the worst of the Ummah PR relations (failed State, FGM, killing minorities etc.), you wanna help the Ummah? Help yourself first, most Arabs think lowly of you, wexee kuu maleyaan inaa dhad urtiin baah iska tihiin bisinka.
trust me bro we don't top that list.

Lol, you shot your self in the foot with this one. Towards the end, the journalist clearly stated it would be impossible to implement such a policy because Arabic is an official language in Somalia. Only English & other non-Arabic/Somali languages could be removed under that policy.

Arabic is still widely used across Somali society, from car/motor number plates to street signs. More Somalis back home should learn their official language.

How did I shoot myself in the foot? My post was supposed to indicate that you'll more likely to see efforts by authorities to promote and increase the usage of Somali and limit foreign languages (including Arabic) than the opposite as per your wish :manny:

Somalia - like other Arab-African countries - is characterized by its dual identity(African & Arab). And despite some shortcomings like Somalis not speaking the Arabic language, there are still other elements that strengthen Somalia's claim to Arabnes.

1. Geographical position: It is one of the most important foundations on which Somalia's claim to Arabism is based. It is located in the prominent part of East Africa known as the Horn of Africa, and the site has great geopolitical importance. On top of religious and socio-economical similarities between the people of Somalia and the Middle East, the Somali peninsulas' terrain, Flora and fauna can also be said to be closer to that of the Middle East compared to other parts of tropical Africa.

2. Shared history: The common history that Somalis and Arabs have shared throughout history, the same hopes and pains created by the geographical location, and the single destiny that brings them together represent a major component of it's Arabism. Somalis and other Arabs have engaged in many struggles together in history. How can we forget the Arabs' contribution to the Conquest of Abyssinia(futh Al Habasha), bringing many troops and firearms which were new to Africa at that time?

3. The cultural factor: The existence of a common culture that brings together Somalis and Arabs is one of the most important reasons why Somalia was accepted to join the Arab League in 1974. Islam, the Arabic language, and customs and traditions represent the most important elements of Arab culture in Somalia. Islam, which all Somalis and Arabs embrace, unites the faith and message carried by both parties. The Arabic language, rooted in Somali culture, helps Somalis interact with their Arab brothers and the shared common customs and traditions like nomadism Create a single feeling and belonging.

The Somali people view Arabism and Islam as two sides of the same coin and consider the Arabic language a sacred language, and their Ethiopian Christian neighbors also consider Islam and Arabism to be one thing. The Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie expressed this when he said, "I have drawn up a thirteen-year plan to eliminate Arab influence,” he meant thus, the presence of Islam in Abyssinia.

With all that being and most Somalis at present and historically considering Arabs their kin it can't be ignored how the massive migration of Somalis to various regions of the world since the civil war has deepened the problems of identity - including
the Arabism of Somalia - because of the new cultures that Somali immigrants have acquired in the West and neighboring African countries.
Good post. Make the murtards sneed

The point I’m making is Arabic which is not foreign to Somalis can’t be removed due to its official status.

It’s okay to be somali. It’s okay to be Cushitic. It’s okay to be African.
I don’t really care about this topic since I’ve already stated my views on this but the last sentence is confusing
You can be arab and African
African is just a continent where different origin lives in

Not really even tho majority of Somalis are Cushitic
We have more claim to being arab than anyone in the horn.
I’ve seen more J1s for Somalia then Ethiopia to be fair and the same way arab rashisa lives in Sudan and Eritrea is the same reer barawa lives in Somalia. Both ain’t ethically but nationality

What is the percentage of j1 in north Sudan overall? I’ve heard majority of them are just arabizted but few with j1

In the end

I’m Somali not arab
I could be from arab origin and would still not claim arab only Somali. Enough of Arabs and let’s focus on Somali and how we can somalized others

9%? You're a joker.

Hopefully, all of you Cushtards get purged when a proper Arabist leader takes control of Somalia. You will get the same treatment the berberists got in Libya when the Arabist regime takes control of Somalia.
To paraphrase the late Gaddafi on his view on Berbers: "If you wish to speak the devil's language then keep it at home, but on the streets [in public] you are Arabs."

This what awaits you Cushtards when Somalia gets a real government.
Why are you people so anti Somali?
you guys are just a handful of terminally online Arab ass lickers do guys not feel any shame.

Wallahi these people are delusional. Swahilis who were colonized by Arabs for centuries only have 15% Arabic loan words in their language, yet Somalis who were independent from Arabs and stayed a fair distance away from them somehow has 30%? Ana Arabs live in their own delusions.
