You're giving Somali diaspora too much credit. The most vocal group of people living outside going about their lifes as usual. Somalis are af ku nool they'll talk the talk waxba qaban mayaan.

The aid was already cut from western donors since august 2020. Even before the sept 17 agreement was reached. So it's surprising these EU and UK governments have the audacity to make bold statements about how elections should go and directly interfere in our internal affairs. They are not even paying! The arab countries that pay the money didn't even make such statements.
This is a good idea, even if farmaajo goes the next government should employ this. The somali diaspora would pay most of the funds. If they see the government is misusing the funds and they are not transparently showing where each dollar goes we can stop supporting the government. This is better than foreign countries pressuring you to do their bidding.

The achievement this government made cannot be underestimated. Listen to wasiir bayle. In the beginning the IC said that somalia cannot be on the way for debt relief. They saw how HSM and SS governments were like and the IC made the deduction that Farmaajo's government will be the same.
Farmaajo's government however crushed all perception about Somalia. They became the fastest country to follow the financial roadmap laid by the IC ever out of 37 african countries. They became the only african country ever to receive budget support while they have debts. This made the international financial institutions convene a meeting to relief somalia's debts and pledge more financial support. It reached the point where other african countries like sudan was asking somalia how to follow the the roadmap.
So if anything this government out of all other governments deserves the money. They are the least corrupted somali government in a long time. And the IC and even opposition members are their witnesses.
