The govt didn't come up with this but obviously they had their own plans. People on twitter suggests this so they can support and replace the measly funds some provided. They weren't relying on it they just accepted peoples request.
Farmajo seems he never has a plan B. A shrewd politician would have extended his term way back in November, would have had a budget plan before blindly ditching the international community and most importantly he would have a better plan than the disastrous illegal extension .
True but looking back was it worth it? The IC unanimously rejected the extension and the financial consequences are felt right the way and we are only a week into the extension. He gave Madobe, MM and the opposition more leverage and worst of all, He will be fully responsible if shit goes north. That will give the opposition the opportunity to be extremely confrontational and bait him to shed blood. More blood shed more defection , more anger etc....
