Its as if they dont know most countries receive foreign aid.
Aid doesn't give them a right to get involved in internal affairs. That is international law, and Somalia wont be an exception. No one is going to trade their country for their vaccinations. Its not like they can stop giving them anyway because a sovereign nation parliament made a decision about its own elections.Yes do send me a tweet as your evidence instead of academic studies and journals to prove your point.A simple trip back home would show you how dependant the poor people are to services UN provides like access to clean water, direct cash deposits, basic vaccinations and much much more.Of course this isn't sustainable but what better options are there when your internal revenue is nothing.
One thing I've noticed earlier this month is that the UN produced a report on Somalia country results which covered key aspects covered in 2020.Shockingly for an online community that wants to cut aid the report only has 51 views which goes to show not many people actually understand what the UN does in Somalia and in particularly from the diaspora that live in privileged houses in the west.
Have a read on the report then criticise it.

UN Somalia Country Results Report 2020
The UN Country Results Report for 2020 is the third annual report that describes the UN’s collective contribution to Somalia’s peacebuilding and state-building achievements and development goals across the five Strategic Priorities of the UN Strategic Framework 2017–2020 (UNSF):somalia.un.org

Its international law, Somalia made its decision they are free to make theirs. Calm down.
Its done.
The point is we dont need them and their racket that takes more than it gives. They are lining their own pockets, amisom and they can go home or obey international laws and stay out of internal affairs. Simple.Yes a sovereign country who's government was formed by international community and salary paid by the international community (I think the gov now covers) and kept safe by the international community
Wake up to the reality![]()
Farmaajo's people are from the most destitute regions in Somalia and want to drag us all down with them, the old adage "misery loves company" comes to mind.
Their delirious rants would increase ten-fold if the International Community actually withdrew all support and left them to their own devices. No weapons, no military vehicles, no AMISOM to free you from AlShaydan, no educational grants, no healthcare, nothing. Nyet, NADA.
By all means, kindly go back to foraging in the bushes and leave the rest of us out of your evil plots. The Nabar & Naxdin echo-chamber is truly the most diabolical and comical thing to come out of Somalia in recent years.
The government covers salaries for all civil servants and military. The point is they need to obey international law or they can go, there are other options for the needed support. Their aid and amisom is a racket anyway and not a solution. I dont understand why you are arguing for them to stay forever. You are not making sense.I meant salaries for MPs not for thousands of civil servants and public workers.Have you ever been to Somalia?

The government already released a statement so its done.
