So why do they claim Arabs? Heck even the Gambela has more J DNA. :russ: @AbdiJohnson
was right when he said a large number of Somalis are Arab booty clappers.

The Y-frequency in Somalis has gone haywire due to only two lineages having survived E-V32 and T1a.

This is called ''drift'' and is common in Y-frequencies of populations.

The more representative part of Somali ancestry when it comes to haplogroups are their maternal (mtDNA) frequencies. There the difference with other Horners is negligible to nonexistent.

Having high levels of a certain paternal haplogroup does not change the race of a group.

Look up the Lemba of South Africa. They have high levels of Jewish/Arab Y-frequency, but because their autosomal and maternal ancestry is all Bantu they look completely Bantu.

Y-frequencies have very little to do with race.

@Amun The point is some Somalis claim to have been fathered by Arabs (already busted by DNA as a lie). If they said their maternal
side is diverse then that is believable.

It is because of religion.

The booty-clapping came from religious stuff first. Not from real connections to Arabs.

Somali MtDNA is very diverse compared to the y DNA which is literally just 2 haplogroups. What happened to all the others? What did we do to them?:damn:

As for DNA, the most important is your autosomal DNA make-up followed by your y haplogroup. That gives a better picture. According to Gedmatch and other DNA configurators we are roughly 60-70% Subsaharan, 10-15% North African and 20% Near Eastern.

Madhibaan have different Y haplogroup from other Somalis from what I have heard. More genetic studies needs to be done on them and other original Somali minorities like Tumaal, Yibir etc.

Darood have the most percent if j haplogroup it must be because of our banu Hashim blood

It's cause we trace our lineage patrilineally, anyone within the same tribe is going to have the same y-DNA.

Unless one of your male ancestors has been cucked of course, which has happened a lot over history.

Does this mean that the qabil myth has been switched around? Instead of an Arab daddy it's an Arab mommy?:mjlol:
