Unless the World Bank wrote their report in Somali, the point stands. Also, don't go citing a discredited, corrupt, post-colonial institution like the World Bank then call me a 'slave'.
I call you slave becouse you think somebody who can not speak good English is illiterte. Look China .France,South Korea ,Japan's,Russia Are developed countries;but they do not speak English. Are they illiterate? :)

So now you are saying the report is problematic because we are all poor so it doesn't matter? Numbers are incapable of capturing the realities and variances. Are you... ok in the head bro? :ohhh:

I've never seen people use childish arguments to refute a statiscal publication. He fails to understand that Puntland is doing better in almost every indicator of well being. If Puntland was outperforming the rest in one aspect and performed worse in other aspects, you could argue that there's some biases or even confounders. However he is too illiterate to understand that the sample sizes have been stratified, and stratitication eliminates confounders. The only aspect that can make this report bias is if selection-bias took place i.e. if only rich Puntlanders were selected and only poor Somalilanders. But the participants were randomly selected and randomization eliminates selection-bias.

Lets take him back to statistics 101 for this bitter underperforming red-toothed 300 dollar a year earning loser. This guy still uses somnet fkd rhetorics but we're using statistics now.

It's why somaliland is such a shithole, most people there think they can do things yet a lot suffer from the Danny Kruger effect.PHD level Statisticians spend at least 7 years in University studying this yet this guy thinks he understands it better just because he is from the area. He ignores his Bias and even ignores that the report isn't talking about 3 cities but the whole of the north west .

They are used to making assessments

The World Bank is not able to collect information in line with their usual procedures. They use work arounds, but it leads to an unreliable publication. Also, you fail to take account of distortions that affect self-reporting biases. For example, in the aim to create funding to prevent FGM I have seen it reported in many publications that 97 percent of Somali women have had the procedure. There are varying incentives that go into what is reported. There is an industry at work here, so there is a race to the bottom in the reporting of facts in the ground. Because we are not dealing with a real economy, but with a rentier society, it is difficult to apply the methods that you would use to gather accurate date. This is compounded by the fact that proxies are used to gather data who in turn have their own self interest.

I do not trust these reports as there is no capacity to effectively deliver the research. I wouldn't trust a report that comes out of any society which is institutionally weak and has relied on domestic institutions to self-report.

Effective quantitative research of macroeconomic measures presupposes effective central administration, which is not a sustainable presupposition in Somalia or Somaliland. I'm not making any point more complicated than that. There are only a few countries in the world where these conditions exist. I wouldn't trust a report coming out of Libya or Congo either.

I believe that the challenges referenced in this text currently undermine the credibility of this research. It is valuable that research is being done, but prior to this there needs to be more extensive capacity building in domestic statistical institutions and researchers.
